MISIP Announces its annual fall conference, to be held Monday, September 18th from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Haggerty Center in Traverse City MI. To register, please fill in the form below.
The annual fall conference will present comprehensive results from 2017 control and research conducted on five northern Michigan lakes. Presenters include Freshwater Solutions (Ron Reimink) who worked on Glen Lake, Lake Leelanau and Lime Lake in 2017; Swimmer's Itch Solutions (Curt Blankespoor), who worked on Higgins Lake and Crystal Lake; Rob Karner, Watershed Biologist for Glen Lake and Chair of the MISIP Scientific Review Committee. Barbara Avers (MDNR) will also present information on the development of a new Common Merganser Control Permit Program. There will also be a panel discussion, covering a wide range of topics including permits, research, control, the state appropriation, and otner questions the audience may have.
